EVALUATION:
For me I choose Previewing as my reading strategy . Previewing helps you
to remember prior information and set a reading intention . Until reading , it
calls for readers to skim a file , searching for different features and details that
will help when they return later to read it in details . You can use previewing if
the text is nonfiction , to assess the subject matter and to remember prior
information , readers look at text characteristics and images to decide what
they know about the subject . Previewing often allows readers to figure out
what they do n't understand and what they want to find out . This strategy can
be use before and during reading . You can also use it to help you determine
if your aim is useful for a book or journal . Also , to help you find relevant
material , also to get a general understanding of the article structure , to help
you recognize the parts of the text that you will need to read and the sections
that you may be able to omit . I choose this strategy because I think it is suited
for my style of reading because I can easily familiarize by looking at the
readily visible parts of text
