Client Description:
The Administrator of the application will be able to maintain the application through
several actions that are deemed general maintenance functions such as having the ability
to Add and Remove Department Heads, Advisors and Students.

Add Department Head
Brief Description This function will allow the system administrator the ability to Add a new
Department Head. They will be able to enter their name, department and
username and password.
Actors Administrator, Banner Web
Basic Flow 1. Click “Add Department Head”. The Add Department Head window is
displayed.
2. Tab or Click into First Name Field. Type First Name.
3. Tab or Click into Last Name Field. Type Last Name.
4. Select Department from Drop Down Box.
5. Tab or Click into User Name Field. Type a User Name.
6. Tab or Click into Password Field. Type a Password.
7. Click Save.
Alternate Flows oIf Banner Web is not available a message will be displayed and the user
will be returned to the previous window. (This assumes that all
Department names will be retrieved from Banner)
oIf the Administrator clicks Cancel before Save they will be returned to
the previous window without creating a new department head.
oAll fields are required. If the Administrator clicks Save before all fields
have been entered, a message stating which field is in error will be
displayed and the information will not be saved. The user will be
allowed to change the data and click save or click cancel.
oIf the Department Head already exists, a message will be displayed to
the user and the window will be re-displayed. (By First Name/Last
Name combination or by User Name)
Pre-conditions The administrator must be logged on.
Post-conditions A new department head is added to the system.
