“Community Engagement Creates Good Citizenship”
“Alone, we can do so little; together we can do so much” - Helen Keller
As much as I heard this quote, it gives you the power as a human or person to do things that can help you
to engage the community so that everyone can do the right thing for themselves and also for yourself.
When you are in a group you can do everything because you know you have a support system but how
about the people who don’t? Does it mean they are not recognized as good citizens? It’s always who has a
support system that can be a good citizen, when in fact you, i, and we don’t need that to be a good citizen
in our community. The right thing to do is to have unity and support each other so that we don't have to
become racist or discrimination.
In the community we engage everyone to be a good citizen but do we hear about their voice? They did
speak up about how we are good as a human to be a good citizen? Community helps us to grow, having
new skills and giving new knowledge. Our community guides us to the paths of our new journey
however, it’s not always like that, sometimes it leads us to the wrong way and it is so hard to come back
to our community. Good Citizenship it’s not for everyone, sometimes they do a lot of breaking the rules of
the community or the law, so it’s very hard to engage them to be good citizens because we don't know
how they will play and their feelings. Not always it’s about engagement but also how to motivate them to
be a good citizen just for yourself. We are the community and citizens who need to be together to do a lot
for our community and give a chance to change the people in our community and engage them in how
citizenship will be helpful to us.
