INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
1. This paper consists of three sections A, B and C.
2. Section A consists of one compulsory question.
3. Section B consists of three questions. Answer only two questions.
4. Section C consists of three practical questions. Answer only two questions.
5. All answers to section A and B should be written in the official answer booklet
provided.
6. For section C, create a folder on the desktop in your name and registration
number to save you work.
7. All practical questions attempted should be transferred to the Compact Disk
(CD) at the end of examination and submitted for marking.
8. Do not write anything on the question paper.

( marks) (f) State three advantages of using internet. ( marks) (g) Give three sources of computer viruses. ( marks) (h) State two icons found on the desktop. ( marks) SECTION B - (30 MARKS) Answer only two questions from this section. Question Four (a) Outline three packages that are contained in the Microsoft office suite. (03 marks) (b) State two examples of Operating System. ( marks) (c) Explain five functions of an Operating System. ( marks) SECTION C - (50 MARKS) Answer only two questions from this section. Question Five LIVE STOCK REGISTRATION This is a public announcement informing all people to register their livestock so that the government can know the number of livestock in our area. This will help the government to plan for your area in terms of vaccination. Fill in the form below; (a) First name (b) Last name (c) District (d) Village (e) Type of livestock Cows Goats Pigs Sheep (f) Number of livestock (please use ) Less than 5 Above 10 Required; (a) Load a word processor and type the above work as it appears. ( marks) (b) Change your work to Font style of “Bell MT” and Font size as “13”. ( marks) (c) Replace the word “people” with “citizen”. ( marks)

(d) Add a hyperlink www.livestock.go.ug on the word government. ( marks) (e) Add a horizontal text Watermark of your registration number with a red colour. (02 marks) (f) Center align, bold and italicize the title with Font type of “Tahoma” and Font size as “15”. (04 marks) Turn Over

Question Seven There has been an outbreak of Covid-19 which is killing many farmers in your area. You have been appointed to sensitize people on the pandemic. Required; (a) Load the power point application and create a presentation of five slides sensitizing people about the pandemic using the following information; (10 marks) Slide 1 : Introduction, your Name and Registration number as the presenter Slide 2 : How Covid-19 is spread Slide 3 : How to control the spread of Covid- Slide 4 : How Covid-19 is treated Slide 5 : Conclusion (b) Apply an Animation of “fly in” on all slides. ( marks) (c) Each slide should have navigation buttons that allows moving forward and backward. ( marks) (d) Add slide numbers on each slide except title slide. ( marks) (e) Add a timing of 5 seconds on your presentation which should move automatically. (02 marks) (f) Apply a fixed date on each slide. ( marks) (g) Save your work as your registration number in the folder you created on the desktop. (02 marks) (h) Print a copy of your work in form of handouts of four slides per page. ( marks)
