it. The process of teaching – learning depends upon the different types of equipment available in the c lassroom. Teaching aids
are materials that the classroom teach er uses to help students understand the concepts she introduces d uring her lesson. These
teaching aids can take numerous form s, from the beans students might count while learning simple ma th in kindergarten to the
photos of famous people and places teachers might display during a history lesson.The process of tea ching – learning depends upon

visual aids. They have very much imp ortance in TLP (Teaching Learning Process).
Teaching aids are important because they crea te a visual and interactive experience for the students. As the stud ents become more
engaged, they are more likely to unde rstand the topic being taught. Teaching aids assist students in lear ning. These aids consist of
video, audio and hands-on tools to hel p involve the students and enhance the learning experience. Teac hing aids are an integral
component in any classroom.The ma ny benefits of teaching aids include helping learners improve rea ding comprehension skills,
illustrating or reinforcing a skill or con cept, differentiating instruction and relieving anxiety or boredom by presenting information
in a new and exciting way.
Teachers begin using visual, audio and hands-o n aids as early as preschool. Teaching aids can be as basic as a b lackboard or
whiteboard. Audio and visual equipm ent, such as DVD players and video projectors, are commonly u sed as tools for learning with a
very effective output.
Students tend to get more involved when learnin g if teaching aids are implemented into the curriculum. Hands-o n aids, such as
computers, maps and other tools that require some sort of interaction from the students, have the highe st levels of effectiveness.
