Generally, virtualization is the primary foundation in cloud computing; thus, most IT organizations need to deploy servers that operate only at a part of their whole capacity because they are mainly dedicating their physical servers to a certain application. In the effort to drive high capacities in utilization and reducing costs, that's when virtualization was created, which has become quite beneficial not only to the various organization but also to the network administrators and also to those using this technology on a constant basis (Ramakrishnan et al., 2020). Virtualization uses a software to develop an abstraction layer on the physical hardware. Thus creating the abstraction layer, it develops a compute virtual system, which is known as the virtual machines, which allows different organizations to run various virtual computers and applications on a single physical server and operating system that partition essentially into different virtual servers. The primary advantage of virtualization is that it is a more effective utilization of the physical hardware of the computer, thus providing a greater return based on the investment of the computer (Anand et al., 2020). Virtualizing the organizational environment increases the scalability, thus reducing the various expenses simultaneously, thus being of more benefit to an organization and to network administrators. There are different benefits of virtualization to an organization in that use of a non-virtualized organizational environment is definitely inefficient because when one is not consuming the basic application on the server, then this means that the computer is barely idle and thus cannot be applied for other organizations. Thus, when the organizational environment is virtualized, then the single physical server basically transforms into different virtual machines.
The virtualization through the virtual machines can have various operating systems that run and operate different applications while still applied on a single physical server. The basic consolidation of the various applications onto the virtualized environments is mainly a cost- effective approach that consumes basically fewer physical customers, generating cost savings in the organization and thus helping the organization spend less money on the servers (Alam et al., 2020). In an organization, when there is a disaster affecting the physical server, personnel is needed to take care of the disaster, which may take a lot of hours and even days. Thus, virtualization will help the organization to provide some deployment to the disaster, which will allow the organization to replicate the virtual machine that is being affected by the server disaster. The recovery process through virtualization will basically take a few minutes as compared to the physical solution of the problem in the organization, which enhances the resiliency of the organizational environment and boosts the continuity of the business. Virtualization increases the productivity and the efficiency of the organization because, through the use of virtual machines, the organizational IT maintenance team will be able to use less time in the maintenance of the physical hardware (Anand et al., 2020). Virtualization involves installing, updating, and maintaining the organizational environments on all the virtual machines in the virtual environment on the organizational server, which save time for the team going through a tiresome and laborious procedure of applying different update per server. Thus, the more, the less time is applied and dedicated to the maintenance of the environment, the more the efficiency and productivity of the organization. Virtualization is an effective and powerful tool that enables and helps an organization to relieve administrative overhead while still increasing cost savings, efficiency, and scalability. Despite the fact that virtualization was created a few decades ago, it continues to become a catalyst
