Framework
-Illustrates what the researcher expects to find in the
research, it guides the
researcher by giving clear directions to the research.
- Presents the quick guide on the direction of the

- (^) Similar with the skeletal framework of human body or blueprint of a building
- (^) It explains the major variables in the study.
- It is a diagram representation of the relationships or connections of diagram.
Independent Variable
- (^) As per the name, an independent variable (IV)
stands alone. The value does not change due to the
impact of any other variable. The researcher
manipulates or changes the independent variable to
measure its impact on other variables.
- (^) Independent variables in some cases can already exist like age, but it is not dependent on any other variable.
• MEDIATING VARIABLE
A mediating variable (or mediator) explains the process through which two variables are related, while a moderating variable (or moderator) affects the strength and direction of that relationship. Example:
- An example of a moderating variable could be age. It's likely that each extra hour of exercise causes resting heart rate to drop more for younger people compared to older people.
- An example for business, suppose buying pizza for a work party leads to positive morale and to the work being done in half the time. Pizza is the independent variable, Work speed is the dependent variable, The mediator, the middle man without which there would be no connection, is positive morale.
