SPECIFICATIONS

  • COLD WATER LINES - shall be Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PRC) pipes PN 2 O NELTEX brand or approved equal. - Fittings shall be solvent cement joints to ASTM D 2564.
  • SEWER LINES - shall be Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe, series 1000 , NELTEX brand or approved equal - Fittings should be solvent cement joints to ASTM D 2564.

1. PIPES AND FITTINGS

  • VENT PIPES - shall be Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe, series 1000 , NELTEX brand or approved equal.

2. VALVES

  • GATE VALVE - shall be KITZ Bronze Gate Valve PN 20 or approved equal.
  • CHECK VALVE - shall be KITZ Bronze Swing Check Valve PN 20 or approved equal. KITZ Bronze Gate Valve KITZ Bronze Swing Check Valve

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Documentation for a given project was placed in the drawings, but as the amount of information increased to where it would not fit the drawings, another way was needed to present this information
  • Known as the project specification, this information is used to define the qualitative requirements for the products, materials, and workmanship that will be used to construct a given project.
  • To develop a specification, the designer must have as much information as possible that pertains to the section that is to be written.
  • Information for the products can be obtained from a variety of sources, including previous project specifications, manufacturer’s literature, handbooks, reference standards, governmental agencies, trade associations, technical and professional societies, commercially prepared guide specifications, and personal experience.

SPECIFICATION SECTION

PART 2 : PRODUCTS

  • Products includes those products that are to be used on the project that are part of the work described by this specification section. These products should be described as accurately, completely, and briefly as possible to give the user the facts needed in least amount of text. PART 3 : EXECUTION
  • Execution contains the detailed instructions of how the products listed in Part 2 are to be used or installed into the work being performed. Any testing that is to be performed must include instructions on who pays for the testing as well as what tests and the number required, instructions for coordination among the various trades, the acceptance of the substrate, and any required tolerances for installations shall also be included in this section
