Chapter 6: Data Rates
The Bluetooth SIG (special Interest Group) announced the Bluetooth V2.0 with the
introduction of Enhanced Data Rate (mode) feature. This mode allows Bluetooth V2.1
to support data rates up to 3 Mbit/s.
Bluetooth V3.0 offers high speed data rates of 24 Mbit/s with the introduced High
Speed mode. The Bluetooth 3.0 + HS, unfortunately still does not include the long-
expected UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology with its 480Mbps transfer speed.
