Summary of conclusions drawn.
The assessment data indicated that 52% of the students performed at least satisfactory on this outcome. Therefore, 48%
of the students either minimally met or did not meet the criteria for this outcome.
Action Plan for improvement.
Given the increasing breadth of the IT field, the CIS111 course material is continually expanding. However, in light of the
assessment results, additional focus need to be place on the basic foundation of hardware and software. In addition, the
assessment questions will be reviewed to ensure they capture the important components in hardware, software and
communication technologies.
