2.0 TYPES OF DIGITAL IMAGE, CAMERAS, GEAR AND INPUT DEVICE OF DIGITAL Figure 2.4 USB Drive Figure 2.3 Smartphone Most cameras produced today are digital, largely replacing those that capture images on photographic film for example compact camera, DSLR camera, mirrorless camera and more. However, digital cameras are now widely incorporated into mobile devices like smartphones with the same or more capabilities and features of the cameras. While there are still dedicated digital cameras, many more cameras are now incorporated into mobile devices like smartphones. Somehow, high-definition dedicated cameras are still commonly used by professionals and those who desire to take higher-quality photographs. Digital cameras come in a wide range of sizes, prices and capabilities. In addition to general purpose digital cameras, specialized cameras including multispectral imaging equipment and astrographs are used for scientific, military, medical and other special purposes. On top of that, many digital cameras can connect directly to a computer to transfer data using an image data storage such as USB and SD memory card. A common alternative is the use of a card reader which may be capable of reading several types of storage media, as well as high speed transfer of data to the computer. The used of a card reader also avoids draining the camera battery during the download process. An external card reader allows convenient direct access to the images on a collection of storage media. But if only one storage card is in use, moving it back and forth between the camera and the reader can be inconvenient. Many computers have a card reader built in such as SD cards. 3.0 THE USE OF DIGITAL CAMERAS, GEAR AND COMPUTER APPLICATION IN DIGITAL IMAGING ACTIVITIES The use of digital camera is to capture a memories and moment when people usually snap a photo of scenery, random picture of friends or family and also a short clip of people enjoying their trip on vacation. We can print them on photo paper, or just view them on a computer, TV, or digital photo frame. Besides, digital cameras are often used by most professional photographers because digital cameras are a specialized tool in their career field to store pictures and video in electric format, as opposed to film. This makes it a lot more accessible and easier to store for the photographer as they can print off or share as many copies of the pictures as they like. However, digital camera is used to capture data or it can be used as a scanner where we can simply take a photograph of a document if we do not have a scanner. Other than that, we could take a picture of the tax forms to keep a record of them. We could also take pictures of things like store hours, phone numbers, and more. Next off, digital cameras generally include specialised image processing hardware to data such a memory card. It is also requires an applications to processing the image for the improvement of image quality. Lastly, the processed image will be used for editing to a branding purposes and services or to keep it. The editing will be doing on an editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign etc. It is also can be use in a applications such as Canva or a platform PowerPoint for visuals in a presentation. 5.0 CONCLUSION In light of the fact, it shows that digital imaging plays an important role in every aspect in the real world because almost in every field, digital image processing puts a live effect on things and is growing with time to time and with new technologies. The digital image processing not only for image enhancement, it also utilise in medical visualisation, industrial inspection, law enforcement, human computer interfaces and the artistic effects profession. It has become a very highly demanded field of study and practice as it provides solutions to various real-life application in an economical way as in computer, engineering and architecture fields. Lastly, the future of digital imaging has a high probability to contribute to raise a smart and intelligent world in respect of education, health and profession.
