WHAT IS MINING ACCIDENT?  (^) A mining accident is an accident that occurs during the process of mining minerals or metals.  (^) Mining industry is on first position among all businesses with regard to accidents resulting death or personal injury.  (^) Thousands of miners die from mining accidents in each year.  (^) Coal mining is more hazardous than hard rock mining.

 (^) Don’t ignore the DANGER.  (^) Dangerous tasks require proper planning and communication.  (^) Get Professional training.  (^) Always wear Safety Equipment.  (^) Proper Supervision.  (^) Follow the latest Safety Standards.  (^) Always follow Safety Signs properly.

WE CAN -  (^) Start Awareness programmes about SAFETY: a top PRIORITY.  (^) Encourage to find common cause of accidents.  (^) Encourage to install proper signs and symbols and their importance in mining industry.  (^) Awareness programmes about the importance of proper training.  (^) Encourage to investigate every incident of mining accidents, injuries, or damages.  (^) Encourage to praise miners for working safely.
