DETAILED LESSON PLAN

OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:  Identify the process of dividing polynomials by another polynomial,  Participate actively during discussion and board work, and  Solve division of polynomials by another polynomial accurately. II. SUBJECT MATTER: Topic: Division of Polynomials by Another Polynomial Reference: e-math 7 ( Worktext in Mathematics ), Orlando A. Oronce and Marilyn O. 1. Prayer “Please stand, let’s pray.”
  2. Greetings “Good morning Class” Students’ Activity (All students will stand) “Good morning Maam!” B. MOTIVATION: Teacher’s Activity “lets identify a Polynomials as defined a expression” Students’ Activity (Students will participate actively)

C. PRESENTATION:

Teacher’s Activity “ So class as you know the polynomials as a expression, we proceed to the division of polynomials by another polynomial.” Students’ Activity D. DISCUSSION: Teacher’s Activity “You have to be focus and listen carefully because this is quite long” “So lets’ Proceed” “To divide a polynomial with more that one term, we use the long division method” For Example: 3 𝐀^2 − 14 𝐀 − 12 ÷ 𝐀 − 2 “We write a problem in long division method” "Divide the leading term in the dividend 3 x, by the leading term in the divisor, x. This is the first term in the quotient." "Multiply the result 3x by the divisor x-2 and write the result under the dividend, 3x(x-2)=3x ²-6x." "Subtract the quantity 3x 2-6x. To do this, add its opposite. Then bring down the next term of the dividend, -12. "Divide the first term of the result, -8x, by the leading term in the divisor, x. "-8x= x=-8. This is the second term in the quotient." "Multiply the result, 8 by the divisor x-2. -8(x- 2)=- 8x+16" ""Write the result under the dividend." Students’ Activity (Students will focus and listen)
