DoDInitial Security Indoctrination

Security MessageThe protection of Government assets, people and property, bothclassified and controlled unclassified, is the responsibility of eachand every member of the Department of Defense, regardless ofhow it was obtained or what form it takes. Our vigilance isimperative in the protection of this information. Anyone with accessto these resources has an obligation to protect it.^ The very nature of our jobs dictates we lead the way in soundsecurity practices. Anything less is simply not acceptable. ThisInitial Security Indoctrination provides a good foundation. YourAgency/Department will supplement this indoctrination with localsecurity policies, procedures, and responsibilities.
