Do entertainment gadgets prevent young people form getting enough sleep? Discuss. Technology is available to everyone including young people. As a consequence, many do not sleep the necessary hours and their school performance worsens. This has been proven by various studies, but, is this because of the companies that sell their products or it is an individual problem of each young person? To get started, I would like to say that I´m a young person that worsened my school performance because I overused these products. It all started when we passed second year of ESO and I was moved to another class with new classmates. Everyone was playing on the Nintendo and I wanted to be on the ball and get along with them. I got so hooked to it that I stopped doing my homework and also didn´t studied for exams. I knew I was on thin ice but didn´t care. My parents noticed it was because of the console and they confiscated it. Thanks to that I was able to pass the following exams and recover the console. This time, I thought about it and played it in moderation and kept my console and the good grades. In conclusion, entertainment gadgets doesn´t prevent young people from getting enough sleep, but the using awareness of the children. Bo Zhang 2 Bach A
