Egg Drop Challenge
Challenge: Groups of “Engineers” will work together to construct a contraption that will
protect an uncooked egg when dropped from a given distance.
Guidelines/Rules:
• Your group will be given a budget of twenty dollars.
• You may only choose supplies from the list below.
• You must track the materials using the Materials Checkbook.
• Before receiving materials, your group must illustrate a picture of a mutually
agreed upon design.
• Use the Engineering Design Process handouts to identify the problem, plan
solutions, make a model, test the model, and reflect/redesign your contraptions.
