  1. Conclusions from the laboratory and how important the use of English is in our careers. English is fundamental in the Industrial Engineering career because it allows access to manuals, technical standards and documentation of machinery or software that are often only in that language. In addition, it is key to communicate in multinational companies or with international suppliers and customers, which is very common in the industrial environment. It is also necessary to use tools and programs such as advanced Excel, SAP, AutoCAD or Power BI, which are usually in English, as well as most of the tutorials, forums and guides available online. On the other hand, most scientific advances, technical articles and professional update courses are published in English, which makes it an essential language to keep up to date and grow in the profession. Finally, if you want to do a specialization, certification or postgraduate course, English opens up many more opportunities, both academically and in the workplace. In short, English is not a luxury in Industrial Engineering, but a basic and strategic tool to stand out in the field.
