[Type text] EI Concept Map [Type text]
After carrying out, a thorough self-assessment using the emotional intelligence concept map, I discovered that there is a clear link between the emotional intelligence concept and the personal disposition rubric. I also discovered that the emotional intelligence concept is a broad one and its wide areas have the capacity to dictate and determine how successful we become. These broad areas of emotional intelligence cover the six dispositions specified on the personal disposition rubric, such as: Social justice and equity, collaboration and inclusion, critical thinking, professional ethics, reflective practice and life-long learning. I stated the afore mentioned because i believe that it is the strength of one’s emotional intelligence that determines the following: a) b) c) The ability of someone to behave in a manner that reflects concern and equitable efforts on behalf of others. The ability of someone to interact with colleagues in ways that communicate respect and impartiality. The ability of someone to be open to suggestions and ideas from others when confronted with a tough situation and not to display d) e) f) theThe ability of someone to make decisions and take actions or steps based on proper data analysis and verifiable evidence. The ability of an individual to flash back and reflect on his past performance, thereby identifying his weaknesses and improving on them. The ability of an individual to seek and take advantage of learning oppurtunities, because it is only one with a weak emotional intelligence that will think he knows all.
