Conditions Associated with Disabilities
Review the PowerPoint in this module titled “Conditions Associated with Disabilities.” Imagine that two
students in your class each have a condition listed in the powerpoint. Describe how you might adapt or
modify your daily routines or classroom activities to allow that child better access to the classroom.
Write a few sentences for each child. Example below:
Visual Impairment
If a child in my classroom had a visual impairment, I would arrange my classroom furniture to make sure
that they had clear paths to move throughout the room. I would also be sure to leave my furniture in
the same place throughout the year so that the child could continue to become familiar with their
surroundings.
