Service marketing strategies anticipate the needs of target audiences and try to meet their requirements for ensuring optimum value for the users/purchasers. Marketing service strives to achieve- Attracting new customers Retaining existing customers Selling them upgraded services Channelizing referrals from existing customers

Characteristics of Service Marketing

"Intangible" refers to things that cannot be physically touched or sensed, contrasting with tangible items that are measurable or perceptible. Examples include emotions, ideas, intellectual property, reputation, and rights. Despite lacking physical form, intangible assets can hold substantial value in areas like business, law, and finance. "Perishable" refers to goods, often food products, with a limited shelf life susceptible to decay, spoilage, or deterioration. Factors like temperature, humidity, and microbial growth can affect them, requiring special handling, storage, and transportation for quality and safety maintenance.
