will be emailed as well.
Signing Up
In addition to registering for this course, you must fill out the sign-up sheet available on the
course web page, and email it to [email protected]. The email address from which you send
this registration will be the email address to which I send course-related announcements.
If too many people sign up for the course, I will perform a lottery among those who have signed
up, and announce the results by email on Wednesday, Feb 4th.
First Reading Assignment
•Constrained Coding and Soft Iterative Decoding: Chapter 1, Sections 1.1 and 2.1.
Note: There is an error at the end of Example 2 on page 3. The author claims that, in this
example, ppost
3= 1/2, which is wrong. In this case, ppost
3= 4/9.
