How do you like to spend your free time?
People often find themselves with too much free time. Nobody likes to just do nothing.
People will always find something to do from daily basic jobs, to diverse activities. Finding a fun,
engaging hobby can be very difficult and may take a few tries. Sometimes it is hard to know
what peoples likes and dislikes are, they may change as they grow, like moving on from
camping to cooking. I like to spend my free time reading and painting.
First, I like to spend my free time reading. It is not exhausting, and I get to go to a lot of
places without moving. I enjoy reading because it makes me feel like I am expanding my
imagination and my knowledge. In Colombia I had plenty of physical books which unfortunately
I had to leave behind. When I came, I didn’t have enough money to get new books which
pushed me to find a way to keep reading without paying. That is when I met PDFs, from which I
downloaded a lot of amusing books, yet I still did not feel fulfilled and kept looking for
diversion. After a few months I moved from Tampa to Atlanta where I met a friend who noticed
my passion for reading. She introduced me to Wattpad where I discovered that people could
write and express themselves without paying for editorial which is amazing. After a while I
found a job and had the opportunity to buy physical books, but this time I also had multiple
options to choose from.
Second, I like to spend my free time painting. It all began when I met this Cuban girl who
painted like a goddess. I entered the art class and started painting with aquarelles. This method
is one of the most I like because I can paint a layer one day, and the next day it will be dry,
