Summer
It was summer. I was walking in the fine golden sand by the seashore. I was alone but I can sense eyes looking at me. I looked everywhere. I scanned the place, I found no one. It was almost an hour since I started strolling so I sat down on a huge black rock that I spotted. Suddenly, there was a man who approached me. “Hi dear, ” his voice gave me goose bumps. “Hi” I replied “I haven’t seen you around earlier, where did you come from?” “Ohh, I was walking on the opposite side but then I saw you and you were alone. You looked sad. I decided that you would need a company,” he smiled. “Thanks but there’s really no need,” I was uncomfortable. He just sat beside me, looking at the sea. I scanned his face. It was very calm. His emerald eyes sparkled like gems. His long auburn hair suits him so well. ‘’He looks like a famous celebrity,’’ I thought. “Tell me, why are you down?” he asked. I was hesitant at first but there was something telling me that this guy’s harmless. “Have you ever asked God something that you really want but it seems that he can’t hear you? I am not really mad at him. I am not questioning him. I am just sad because I badly need it to have my normal life back,” I blurted. He smiled. He looked at me and said, “You know what, God hears you, dear. He hears your prayers. He knows what you want. Never lose hope, never break your faith. He hears you, he’s just waiting for the right timing.” I looked at him, he seemed very confident with what he was saying. “How can you be so confident?” He looked at me, he smiled and said, “Because once, I asked him the hardest thing that a He could give…forgiveness.. forgiveness to all the people who killed His son, who killed me. Years ago, people maltreated me because I claimed that He is my father. I told everyone that I am the saviour. They never believed. I was beaten up, assaulted, harassed. My Father saw it. He saw all the people who have hurt me. He saw it with his own eyes, but I asked Him to forgive them. I asked Him to have mercy. I asked him not to forsake those people who have forsaken us, and without a second thought, they were forgiven, as easy as that.” He winked at me. Tears fell down from my eyes. He wiped my tears. I saw his hands, with holes. I cried even more. I can’t believe that I actually talked to Jesus. “Father, please forgive me. I didn’t mean to question You and Your Father,” I said while tears are still running down. “Remember, my child, all that you ask to the Father, He will give it to you. Whenever you pray, we hear it up there. Just trust us, our timing. We love you and We will never abandon you, my child. Don’t be sad for I will always be here for you. Whatever you do, whoever you are, I love you, because you are mine.” A strong breeze blew as I open my wet eyes. A carroty sunset waved hello as I looked east. I saw myself sitting alone on a huge black rock by the beach. I smiled when I realized that I was just dreaming. Yes, it was a dream but I know that it was God’s answer to my queries. Yes, it was a dream but I know that God is with me. Yes, it was a dream but I know that God hears me. Yes. It was a dream but clearly, God loves me.
