1. GERUND (V ing) and INFINITIVES (TO+V1) Look at the list below. In this list you can see the verbs that are used with Gerund, Infinitive and Both of them!!! INFINITIVE (TO+V1): afford, agree, appear, arrange, ask, attempt, be pleased, be able, choose, decide, expect, fail, happen, help, hope, intend, learn, manage, offer, plan, prepare, pretend, promise, refuse, seem, tend, want, wish, would like. GERUND (Ving): admit, appreciate, avoid, be capable of, good at, bad at, be interested in, can’t help, can’t stand, consider, delay, deny, discuss, dislike, enjoy, feel, like, finish, give up, imagine, involve, look forward, mention, miss, practise, succeed in, suggest, talk about, think of BOTH INFINITIVE AND GERUND: begin, continue, hate, be intend, love, prefer, start **!!!BE CAREFUL!!! THERE ARE SOME VERBS THAT CAN BE USED BOTH WITH GERUND AND INFINITIVE BUT THEY HAVE DIFFERENT MEANINGS!!!
