What is global warming and how is

it caused?

Floods in Pakistan

Pakistan has been struck by floods almost every year for the past ten years. However, the floods of 2010 and 2011 have been dubbed the country's worst natural disasters.

Drought

Droughts have wreaked havoc on Pakistan's economy for years, especially in the provinces of Balochistan and Sindh. Drought has decreased river flows in these regions, causing irrigation canals to dry up, resulting in extreme agricultural deprivation.

Rising sea levels

  • (^) Rising temperatures caused by global warming, glaciers have been gradually melting, resulting in a steady rise in sea levels.
  • (^) The ravaging sea continues to engulf the surrounding land, consuming an average of 80 acres every day.
