Hazard Detection in Industries Using ESP32 Microcontroller, High school final essays of Electronics

A project aimed at providing a secure environment for workers in the mining industry. It utilizes advanced technologies, including the esp32 microcontroller, to gather data and alert workers of hazardous conditions. The main objectives are to detect various toxic gases, monitor temperature and humidity, and implement preventive measures to improve safety. The proposed system includes hardware components and software tools to address major hazards in underground mining, such as suffocation, gas poisoning, roof collapse, and gas explosions. The project is intended to safeguard workers, be economically beneficial through the use of mqtt, provide wireless connection security, and improve services in coal mines.

1)This project is intended to provide a secured surrounding for the people who risk their life in the mine fields. 2)By gathering the data with the help of advanced technologies we are aimed to alert the workers in the field if something goes wrong.

BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT

  • (^) To prevent the previously mentioned problem statement, we design a smart work clothing that has sensors embedded in it to securely transmit data to managers about hazardous conditions and to safeguard the workers from it and overall improving the safety in mining industries.

AIM:

  • (^) The primary objective of this project is to design an efficient real-time monitoring system so that various leaked mine gases can be identified and preventive measures could be taken accordingly. It is carried out by - (^) Detection of different toxic gases - (^) Temperature and humidity within the mining environment

OBJECTIVE:

  • (^) In underground mining, ventilation systems are crucial to supply sufficient oxygen, maintaining non explosive and non-toxic atmosphere and operating an efficient mine.
  • (^) Primitive techniques to alert mines, when the atmosphere becomes toxic, integrating ventilation monitoring system enables mine to intelligently make ventilation changes based on extensive data, it provides the unexpected changes in the ventilation system are noticed by the monitoring arrangement.

PROPOSED SYSTEM:

HARDWARE USED:

  • (^) ESP
  • (^) MQ-2 gas sensor
  • (^) MQ-4 gas sensor
  • (^) MQ-9 gas sensor
  • (^) DHT11/DHT22 sensor
  • (^) Piezoelectric sensor
  • (^) Lithium polymer or lithium batteries

SOFTWARE USED:

  • (^) Arduino IDE

BLOCK DIAGRAM:

FLOWCHART

  • (^) Network instability
  • (^) To overcome this disadvantage, we can use MQTT protocol.

DISADVANTAGES:
