  • It was because it wasn’t too big and everyone was able to contribute.

  • More group activities. Also, less readings and the post that were due on Saturday should have been due on the weekday.
  • The teacher could hand out the premises and conclusions of the first few chapters to aide the student with following the text and deciphering them on his/her own.

  • As a returning student, I felt that Deke Gould is a motivated teacher. His well of knowledge and resources are utilized/shared in his teachings. He inspires me to continue my quest for knowledge in the area of philosophy on my own as well as academically. The university made a great choice selecting Deke Gould as a teacher!

  • Instructor had very clear expectations, nothing was a surprise. Some subject matter was a little dry but that happens in a lot of classes esp. biology.
  • This class was as good as Gould.

  • Instructor had great knowledge and a great teaching style. Enjoyed and learned a lot this semester.
  • Deke was a great instructor, sometimes the topic of conversation was carried on for too long and ideas became too abstract to even entertain.
