DEFINITION OF A COMPUTER:
A computer is a multipurpose, electronic device that can accept data(input) and can process
it into useful information. This information can be displayed on the screen, stored on a store
medium and communicated via a network. A common type of computer is the desktop
computer that is found in offices, business and school computer labs. Other types of
computers are smartphones, laptops and tablets.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
Hardware is the physical parts of a computer like a keyboard and a monitor. Hardware is also
the different components that are found in the computer box. Software is instructions that
are given to the computer to run certain things. An app is a short version for application and
is used to describe programs on smartphones. What makes a computer a multi-purpose tool
is the ability to run different types of programs. Using the hardware you can load game
programs, music or a video player. All computers are made up of hardware and software

Computers never get tired and are able to do boring repeating tasks for hours on end.
Computers are very fast and they do not make mistakes, provided that the programmer
of the program didn’t make any mistakes. Computers are reliable and don’t fail without
any reason. One can use a computer for different tasks and can be used for dangerous
operations like pilot training and risky experiments can be simulated on computers.
