The capacity of the entity to distinct itself from others relies on how effective the entity consolidate acquisition of new ideas and make best use of the information to improve usage of researched and developed new ideas or methods thereby coming with the best service. Freeman, 1995; Furman et al., 2002; Lundvall and Johnson, 1994; Nelson, 1993) views invention of new ideas as something that should compel entities to put more effort to ensure improved profitability, increased customer base and continuous existence of the entity and ensuring high returns to the investors. (Palacios et al., 2008). Research department that facilitates invention of new ideas and translate into new products or techniques requires a framework that provides the way of conducting such research to ensure successful inventions and contributing to entities prosperity. Promoting the idea internally to have adaptive project management in the midst of Covid 19 pandemic The organization AAA has been providing service as non-profit making entity that ensures vulnerable and marginalized groups are empowered with the knowledge, awareness and skills to positively transform their lives, and the lives of others, at local, national and international levels. The entity uses uniquely active and participatory tools that promote sexual and reproductive health and gender right. The output or the service is Improved sexual and reproductive health rights and skills of vulnerable and marginalized women and girls. The entities uses radio programme that involves participants, role models in the society, radio producers and performances performing live on a radio station such as Zodiac that have national coverage. Another methodology used is interactive theatre that has performers that have alive show illustrating the evils of discriminating or treating the marginalized badly or taking advantage of them. The other mode of delivering the service is participatory methods in class to our learners in primary or secondary and tertiary schools. The whole service is provide in the groups of people and it involve touch tagging physically or large group of participants to be readily available. In view of covid 19 pandemic, the growing challenge is the lockdown to curb the spread of the diease and that has led the organization to apply adaptive programme management whereby the methodology is applied through touch tagging using radio programme but with participants joining on line or remotely. Additionally, the lessons have adapted using the same radio to air them to the learners hence reducing physical contact and maintaining social distance in ensuring public health and reducing the spread of the pandemic. We have an innovative AAA team that is looking at the curriculum, the radio programme and the theatre. That is being adapted to the changes as listed in prior paragraph. Additionally, below this we have another, structure thus the communications team that is sharing the adapted methodology to the wider trainers of the organization, who are conducting on line trainings to the rest of project staff. Leadership team is leading the whole structure; who are members of all the structure thereby ensuring smooth implementation of the changes being
Limitation in methodology i.e. due to change or shift from group participation that is at the center of our methodology due to covid 19 Timelines and key milestones being affected in the long run Expectations in methodology that affect the outcomes against that backlash in changes or adaptation of the curriculum or some normal methodology Distance and mindset in working from home by staff feeling detached from the overall organization National Policy direction uncertainty as a result of lockdown being contested in court and also the election to be held in June 2020 The swot analysis assessed that there is need to strengthen our capacity hence some willing donors have been approached to provide capital equipment that will support effective delivery of the services. We will utilize the radio and curriculum to adapt the services to covid 19 and support the marginalized so that their rights are being protected. The new radio programme and the modified lessons for learners will help during the lockdown so that the right to health and education is being maintained and achieved. The leadership team of the entity did set some key priorities for immediate action going forward to ensure that milestones are being achieved in reaching out to the learners and the marginalized. These are listed as follows; a) Strong and visible leadership through communication of public health information and facts about Covid 19-the leadership team being visible in respective departments and on welfare what sup group. b) Leading on innovation towards adaptive programme management-explore new ways and finding solutions to problems/challenges arising out of the Covid 19 pandemic. c) Leading on communication with donors & partners-communication with Head of Grants any issues that can affect the milestones and negotiate during the consortium or partners meetings i.e. cluster meetings communication. Adopting innovative technology to realize the impact of the new services-Covid 19 radio drama and lessons for study. The use of modern technology will enhance effective delivery of the new services. That will register success by acquiring solar powered radios, what sup phones that have been shared to the learners. The use of radio and on line lessons and assessments via what’s up will help learner to continue with their studies. Furthermore, other innovations are being assessed as the Government is planning to re-open schools using smaller groups of learners hence the use of electronic boards, virtual teachers or tutor is being explored. Additionally other visual aids such as projectors are being explored. Available platforms such Google meet, zoom and skype are also being utilized to reach out to our beneficiaries. The entity has put up a proposal to one of the donors on technological support and the fund manager has already given a node to the same. The will power of the leadership team
Dasgupta, M. et Gupta, R.K. (2009)-A great leader is needed at each level of the entity. It is very crucial that the entities promotes leaders who have proven innovative mindset, who take action and execute strategies within their own entity, and who advance information systems. According to Basadur (2004),in future business the most effective leaders will support staff to coordinate and consolidate their varying approaches through a process of applied creativity that includes continuously invention and identifying new challenges, coming up with solutions and execute them. Previous review noted that a high quality of relationship between the leader and the subordinates includes providing challenging tasks to subordinates, supporting them in risky situations, and providing recognition for the tasks. This, no doubt, encourages individual innovativeness and better subordinate and superior relationship. The organization has strong leadership that has already done swot analysis and seen need to innovate as evident in one of the three key priorities highlighted above preceding paragraphs, Furthermore, the leadership is setting good example by participating in decision making and auctioning all the innovations moving forwards through the various teams set such as innovation, training and communications teams. The innovative culture in the organization Dasgupta, M. et Gupta, R.K. (2009)-Organizational culture can be defined as the deeply seated (often subconscious) values and beliefs shared by personnel in an organization. It is manifested in the typical characteristics of the organization. According to researchers like Hellreigal, Smith, and Cronje, the components of routine behavior, norms, values, philosophy, rules of the game and feelings all form part of organizational culture. Nonaka, 1994, entities that are able to trigger and enhance the information of their people are in a greater place to react to the rapid changes in the environment and to invent new information in the domicile where they decide to invest and compete. We have innovative team that comprises all staff across the organization and that we have an organization budget to support the course. Furthermore, donors as partners to the adaptive service delivery have offered to provide technical and financial support via innovative grants and offer on line courses to our trainers hence being able to adapt to the needs of covid 19 pandemic and ensuring public health and educational rights are being sustained. The leadership is building that culture of creating new ideas and brands of our service so that the entity continues to adapt the changing world that has been affected by the pandemic. Promoting organization Learning Dixon 1998, the best way of adapting to volatile planet is to continue acquiring new ideas. Dasgupta, M. et Gupta, R.K. (2009)-For the entity to withstand the hostile business environment , it needs to adapt to situation by continuous acquisition of new researched and working ideas, that is inclusive capabilities to do a research of new ideas. According to Dodgson (1993), ‘Learning is seen as purposive quest to productivity and innovativeness in uncertain technological and market circumstances. Companies with product differentiation strategy preferred to use experimentation, continuous improvement, and competency acquisition as learning methods, while, companies with a cost competitiveness strategy learnt through continuous improvement and benchmarking. Our organization, through research and trial ; being able to learn from past mistakes, has helped staff to be able to create new ideas and brand on how best the service can be delivered. Staff have developed the mindset of not fearing from trying new things thereby making mistakes or errors and correcting them. This
identify potential threats arising from external forces hence need to ensure that our service is aligned to the best standards set by international organizations such WHO and UN agencies. McGraw-Hill Higher Education, USA - Assignments are the plans that are prepared and implement by organization periodically based on a current need of improvement, change, innovation and development. An assignment manager is responsible to prepare an action plan, assign tasks to the appropriate employees and coordinate the whole procedure and progress of an assignment.in our organisation, we have the innovative team led by team lead responsible for curriculum, innovation and learning in the organisation. Assignment management is important as the employees are part of various teams formulated to deliver the plan from starting phase that includes the obvious process and aspects of the assignment such as cost, risks, goals, etc. Action stage is when the plan starts being actioned on the ground and carried out. Everything goes in the right track and resources consumed and activities are completed. Progress review and managing the resources is the phase when a assignment manager assess the progress of the assignment and compares it with the initial action plan. Finalization phase is when the resources are utilized and staff reallocated to have an end service or brand and lessons are learnt. Thus, where the output is made and the new brand is produced. The label costs are quite considerable to final total service costs and are maintained to minimum. This involves costs of consultant to develop curriculum, unique methodology and the branding costs. Quality is measured in our unique methodology as a service rarely provided by competitors and that the competitors cannot meet all our characteristics of our final service that brings an edge to it. Client service is seen in our approach is we value our clients and we treat them with utmost respect and ensuring that they are supported according to their specific needs i.e the safeguarding and counselling sessions are conducted for each person who has psychological issues.
