Explanation:
Mistake: Clients were connected to main database but not to backup.
Connection shown was through main database server. But if main
server fails, how client will get response from back-up server. This
was the major mistake in assignment 4 done by 70 % of students.
Explanation: Clients should be connected to both servers in a way
that backup connection is transparent but directly accessible.
Purpose of Assignment 4: Purpose of assignment 4 was to enable the students to learn how a
scenario can be deployed based upon description. Another purpose was to make students think
system deployment in terms of network communication.
Instructor Comments: It was good to see that majority of students attempted assignment by
themselves and correctly attempted. Keep it up.
