6. Please provide a rationale for any such time outside the College, other than that which is a requirement of a professional, statutory or regulatory body
Students will be encouraged to take part in the Study Abroad programme. One of the key educational aims of the degree is to give students an appreciation of the complexity and diversity of human experiences and mentalities’. The Semester abroad will allow students to experience living in another country, and potentially speaking another language. They will be exposed to subjects, disciplinary approaches and pedagogical techniques which are different from those they will find at King’s. The semester abroad also enables students to take advantage of specialised teaching not available at King’s.
The optional internship is specifically designed to enable students to plan for their career, learn work-place skills and develop their understanding of how the skills and knowledge they are developing as part of the academic programme will relate to their future careers.
