3. Complete the appopriate reports.
4. Ensure the employee is drug/alcohol tested
5. Ensure operator submites a written statement of facts and circumstances
contributing to the accident
6. Ensure that an Alabama Uniform Traffic Accident is prepared.
7. Have photos taken of the accident.
8. Ensure that an Injury Report is completed for any Officer injured in the accident.
9. Forward the completed forms and reports to the Divison Commander and
"pdincidentreporting@prattvilleal.gov" no later than the end of the shift. Any necessary
delay must be approved by the Division Commander.
10. Submit report of findings to the Divison Commander as soon as possible.

When are Hot Pursuits justified? only when the officer knows or has reasonable grounds to believe the suspect presents a clear and immediate threat to the safety of other motorists; has commited or is attempting to commit a serious felony; or when the necessity of immediate apprehension outweighs the level of danger created by the hot pursuit, as in the case of a DUI

Initiating/ Primary Unit Responsibilites

  1. Rests with the individual officer. the officer initiating shall, in all cases, notify Communications immediately that a pursuit is underway and communicate: a. Police unit identification b. Location, speed, and direction of travel c. vehicle description, and if known, license plate d. the specific reason for the pursuit, including known laws violated e. number of occupants

Each member will have one vote, except for chairman, who will not vote unless there is a tie. 3. With the exception of chairman and HR representative, members will be randomly selected to serve on the board an unspecified number of time.
