REPORT ASSIGNMENT 2: Through the process of conducting data research on students at the University of Greenwich to serve the project "Improve the Coffee House chain of stores to serve the learning and working needs of students", I have made some general evaluations. In this part of the report, I will do a detailed review of the research I have done to reach a conclusion about the usefulness of the research for the project. My report is divided into the following stages: Evaluate the planning part, evaluate the survey implementation, evaluate the filtering and data collection, and analyse whether the collected data is useful for the project. Before going into the planning part, I have set up some objectives for the project and aim to implement the stated objectives in the most thorough way. That is why I have planned to work towards the goal that I set out. For the division of work, I used the Work Breakdown Structure method to do the detailed planning. The reason I chose WBS for this project is because I researched the benefits of WBS for work division, such as optimized project scheduling, Effective project Execution, Management of Project Vision, Improve Communication, Accountability (kiendt, WHAT IS WBS). How to create WBS easy to apply (2023). In my opinion, WBS did a great job helping me break down the work and maintain clear and detailed plans throughout the project's implementation. In this division of work, in addition to the WBS that helps me manage my plans and to-dos, I also use a tool to help create a Gantt chart to represent the time planning part. The tool that I use is the GanttPro.com website, The reason for choosing this tool is that it is free, and building a time schedule is easy. I highly recommend GanttPro and between the choice of doing time planning charts with Excel or GanttPro, I still choose to use GanttPro because Excel on my MacBook laptop is very limited. My overall assessment of this planning section is relatively good and meets the requirements that I set out for the planning section. After the Planning process and embarking on the implementation of Research, the first thing in the project I do must take a survey to collect data. The method that I chose to collect data in this project is Quantitative Research. The main reason for me to implement the Quantitative Research method is because the research model is quite clear, specific and can check the assumptions, from which can be targeted at the targets set for the project. The quantitative research is conducted through a Google survey sent to the candidate. The reason for using Google this form is because it is compact, easy to transmit to students participating in the survey and integrated analytical chart. For small and medium research as our research, the use of Google Form tool is effective because of convenience and quickly. However, I assess that the use of Google form is not really optimal for a professional project because of the function limitations of this software. I assess the conduct of this survey relatively well because the participants answered the form fully, but the data is not exactly as we want and still must screening a lot. After the survey and the survey collected, I performed the data filtering process by filtering the error data. After eliminating the entire data error from the original data, I obtained the full amount of data and conducted a reference on the Google Form Response section for analysis. After the analysis process, I realized that the data during my survey really had a problem because it has not thoroughly resolved the objectives that I set. After the process of research, I realized that the problem lying in my survey question was not in the heart of the focus to be searched. My assessment in this section is that the data has not met the requirements because it has not yet used the objectives that the project needs to do.
In summary, my project on planning and conducting the survey is relatively successful because the knowledge taught, and methods and tools used is reasonable. However, the questionnaire design has not had the cohesion, not yet the project's focus on the end of the result. However, through this project, I have learned a lot of project management knowledge as well as develop a specific plan. I assess that I need to cultivate more ability to ask a more reasonable survey question that targets the data to survey and collect the desired data.
