 A supported development which incurred an annual increase :

 Turnover

  • 3.5 billion € at the end of 2006 ( contribution GDP > 6.5% )
  • Export Turnover : 200 Millions € end 2006 (6 %)

 Employees

  • 42000 persons (0,5 % of the active population)

 1 500 operators (+ 50 % since 2004)

  • Domination of the telecom branch > 70% Turnover of the sector
  • Domination of SME 50% having below ten employees , Only 11% have more than 25 wage-earners

Training in IT has become by itself a whole branch of activity :

Graduates number ( > Bac + 4 ) will triple by 2010

(‘’Initiative of 10000 engineers’’ launched by the government ).

  • Law 2-00 on copyright private rights
  • Law 53-95 on the setting up of bankruptcy courts.
  • Law 65-99 on legislation of flexible work (CDD-CDI-Interim…)
  • Innovation inciting by investing in R&D (dedicated fund)
