Turkey, the contemporary national high school
mathematics curriculum, its varied applications
and factors affecting its success are presented.
The national exam which is mandatory for all
students to be admitted to an university in
Turkey, destructively circumscribes the
mathematics curriculum in high schools.

should start with exams. All of the schools make
exams and students just care their grade in

Math An overview of the mathematics education in Turkey, the contemporary national high school mathematics curriculum, its varied applications and factors affecting its success are presented. The national exam which is mandatory for all students to be admitted to an university in Turkey, destructively circumscribes the mathematics curriculum in high schools.

Firstly if we want to do something about math we should start with exams. All of the schools make exams and students just care their grade in exams, if they get low point they act like their math is bad and they do not understand anything about math but it is wrong because math is not means exams or grades it is more than them. If schools make less exams students can really try to understand what is math and how can they fix the problems and solve the questions.

Secondly the other problem about our system in Turkey is there is too much teacher. Everybody try to be a teacher also if they do not talented, and it causes many problems such as they do not understand about student psychology and they do not know have good communication with students. Schools must make a psychology exams before hire teacher in a school so they can see that teachers behaviors and it can be really helpful about students. All students have different style to understand subjects but if teachers teach bad it effects all of the students so teachers style

and their behaviours are really important for student.

The last problem about math lessons in Turkey is

family pressure. Families act like if their children good at math it means he/she is very clever and they start to tell everybody about how clever their children. It is completely wrong math grades not means that you are clever or stupid, students have different orientation nobody can do all of the lessons good someone can be good at English and other one can be good at math but is not about their capacities it just shows that their interest to lessons and it effects their grades.

In conclusion we have problems about math but it is not just our countries problem it is same for too much countries. Students are student country names cannot change the student brains but we should make differences in our education system not just for math for all of the lessons. We should be more carefull about this problems because todays students will change the world.
