As a child, I believed that humanity had a bright future with incredible technological advancements(insert picture of the future) and improvements to our quality of life. However, as things currently are, that future will not come to pass. Cars and Factories emit a staggering amount(insert carbon emissions picture) of carbon dioxide, up to 56%.The carbon dioxide, being considered a greenhouse gas ,therefore it traps hot air within the atmosphere which warms the Earth. This and man-made fires are causing fires to tear down entire forests. Mass plastic production began after WWI(insert plastic picture), improvements in chemistry led to new types of plastic. Most of which don’t decompose on their own. An estimated whopping amount of 91% of the plastic isn’t being , recycled instead it is thrown out into the ocean or river even sea. Once into the ocean marine animals can ingest it , causing irreversible damage.
