Today is Saturday and we have seminar entitled Voters Education for
Election 2022”. Being a democratic country, we choose our leader. We are foolish to
believe flowery words of the politicians. They are only showing their goods in election
but after they elected in that position they can’t even fulfill their promises. The speaker
said we only need to register once to avoid the confusion. If you don’t vote in two
consecutive election you will be deactivate. The solution to this problem is you need to
activate again and apply for new form. The qualifications for voters are Filipino citizen,
18 years old, 1 year in the Philippines. There are some disqualifications, if the voter is
sentenced for imprisonment, adjudged with crime involving disloyalty to government,
insane or incompetent. He also discussed about the manner of voting which are; position
beside the VCM without being able to view the screen, monitor the VCM ensure that the
ballot is successfully accepted. Only registered voter can vote.
Elections means by which people express their political views. They express their
views by voting for a political leader in the general election. This political leader would
also be given authority and responsibility. The process of making a formal group decision
is known as election. In addition, the chosen political leader would be elected to public
office. I remember one of my experience when voting in SK in our barangay. I’m anxious
because no one told me what to do, and who to vote because I really don’t know the
candidates. I didn’t choose wisely I don’t what their platforms or plan in our barangay.
In upcoming election, I will research more for that candidate to choose the right decision
and to not regret it. We always say it’s just one vote it will not make difference actually
that’s wrong every vote matters. Election gives us the power to choose the best leader
and not just for entertainment. There are so many perfectly fit candidates for that
position, but we just wasted it and elected some incompetent politicians.
This seminar enlightens me about what to do and not to do during election. As
a future of the next generation, I must research about the candidates if they are capable
for the position. Because some Filipinos don’t think who they vote, sometimes they sell
their votes to that candidate. I always said to myself that I will not sell my votes because
that’s bribery. If the candidate did that there’s a high possibility that they are corrupt
politician. Actually, we still don’t learn our lessons we still keep repeating the same
mistakes in electing politicians. We need to stop voting entertainers and corrupt
