I. Identifying Information
ACTIVITY: NATIONAL READING MONTH CELEBRATION
THEME: “Kalusugan, Kaisipan at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan”
TARGET DATE: November 28, 2022
TARGET VENUE: Butag National High School
TARGET PARTICIPANTS: Students and Teachers
PROPONENTS: Shena H. Gutierrez, Marites H. Fulgueras (JHS, Teachers of
English), Melanie A. Gutierrez (JSH, Teacher of Filipino), and Joena G. Pojas (SHS
Teacher of Filipino)
II. Rationale and Brief Description of the Project
Conforming to Republic Act No. 10661, Titled “An Act Declaring the Month of
November of Every Year as the National Children’s Month” which mandates DepEd
to facilitate and encourage the celebration of National Reading Month. The English
and Filipino Club of Butag National High School will conduct and facilitate different
activities that aim to support and give importance to education, teachers, and
students.
The club spearheads activities that will help improve camaraderie, talents, self-
esteem, and skills and aims to build a better foundation of learning through activities
and contests. The event will be held on the 28th of November 2022.
III. Objectives:
The NATIONAL READING MONTH CELEBRATION has the following objectives:
1. Promote the DepEd’s Every Child A Reader Program making Filipino learners a
generation of readers.
2. To strengthen the value of education to teachers and students.
3. To show the students’ hidden talents and potential.
4. To develop unity and cooperation within the group.
5. Boost the students’ confidence in using the English and Filipino language and
become good communicators.
