Prelim 2
Question: For you, which among the eight duties of a Filipino citizen can you say that were very important? Explain.
Answer:
For me I choose the Section 5: Civic, political participation. I'm basing my own response on the
current situation in the Philippines, where we are all waiting for the upcoming election. As we all know, many groups have been
campaigning for various positions, and as a result, we as Filipino citizens must vote for everyone who is running for the positions
that inspire us the most, as well as vote intelligently. So I chose section 5 because, in this difficult time when we, the Filipino
people, have been divided by our choices, it is critical that we participate in the upcoming election; however, we must be aware
of the people who are running for various positions; we must be aware of their backgrounds, their goals if we choose them, and
their commitments to us, the Filipino people. Many individuals have been disputing because of their different choices, which has
resulted in people losing their morale, causing massive conflicts, and causing people to suffer and be split as a result of their
beliefs. We must stand up for our own choices and the candidate for whom we vote, but destroying each other's ideas, facts,
actions, and conducts is more than enough to ruin a person's life. I believe we require this section at this time because the
elections are approaching; we must ensure that those who will win their respective positions can achieve their or our goals, and
those who create such animosity toward one another may win arguments with one another, but that does not mean that the
person they choose will win the election. So I'm hoping they can put an end to their animosity toward one another and simply
vote wisely.
Question: Reflect on yourself. Which among the eight duties of a Filipino citizen you need to fulfill more? Why?
Answer:
I will reflect myself to the section 7: Responsibility of youth, I myself a member of the SK youth
organization, or the Sangguniang Kabataan youth group, and I am one of our community's barangay delegates. As a youth
committee, I believe that we, as a youth, need to be responsible and set a good example for others. As a youth committee, we
created various laws for our community, such as having a curfew for the youth, where they were not allowed to go outside until
10:00 p.m., we also had an activity last pandemic where we gave each household a health hygiene kit, and we also assisted the
officers here in cleaning our community by helping each other. Finally, as a youth committee, we focus on religious activity
because our community is a religious community, and we assist every youth in participating in religious events and learning
about God. These are some of the projects that we've worked on as a youth committee here in our committee, and I can reflect
myself to section 7, being accountable not only for the growth of our community but also for setting a good example for all of the
youth.
