Anatomy of Simple Squamous Epithelium: Structure and Sites, Lecture notes of Histology

An overview of the simple squamous epithelium, its structure, and the various sites where it can be found in the human body. The simple squamous epithelium is a type of tissue made up of a single layer of flat cells with flat nuclei. It is found in the endothelium of the heart and blood vessels, the mesothelium of the pleura, pericardium, and peritoneum, and certain cells in the lung alveoli, Bowman's capsule, and loop of Henle in the kidney.
