problem-solving, facilitating, leading, coaching, and development. IPC skills are required to evaluate anddetermine the needs and readiness of others. Also, they need to possess the encouragement skills and have an influentialimpact on others to achieveset tasks and goals. Aconsultant needs to understand business objectives and correlate salesmanship to create buy-in and a high level of commitment. This requires working with upper management beforehand to develop a strategic plan while outlining presentations to focus on reinforcing the organization’s mission.OD consultants need to be semi-assertive, confidant, consistent, trustworthy, and persuasive to create buy-in.Upon completion of the DISC personality test, I compared my results to an OD consultant and discovered I might would do well in this line of work. I scored a 51% in dominance and 32% in compliance, which is the vast majority of my DISC personality type. The remaining 17% consisting of influence (10%) and steadiness (7%). I work hard to be knowledgeable in my field of work, which breeds confidence and self-assurance. In my line of work, making numerous decisions is critical to the success of the department. My background of being a Lean Manufacturing Facilitator (Kaizen) developed my skills to plan, strategize, and implement new concepts or changes. Being highly competitive creates assertiveness, a will to win, and leadership qualities.I believe I would be a great change agent for the business I’m representing.
