OSCE Tips for Students
1. Please dress your lab coat on the OSCE day.
2. You need to register in the holding room once you reach the OSCE area (Library).
3. keep your university ID card with you through all the stations.
4. During OSCE, your flow of movement should start once you hear the bell ring.
5. Students’ instructions are posted in each station.
6. Read the students’ instructions carefully and pay attention to the statement that explains the
task.
7. During the encounter (Exam Station) the grade is given for tasks that are completed
satisfactorily.
8. Treat the standardized patient as a real patient.
9. Students must remain in the station until they hear the bell ring, they should move to the next
station.
10. Group leaders and support staff are there to support and guide you starting from the
registration room and from station to station till you finish and reach the quarantine room.
11. Try to relax and stay focused on the task.
12. The Exam material will be announced in advance by your preceptors in all the announcement
media. You must study the exam material very well.
