According to Spencer, V. peer tutoring is widely known as a strategic way of placing students in the shoes of academic tutors as well as tutees, mostly the process of which a high performing student is paired with a lower performing student to help them clarify the topics that have already been discussed. Peer tutoring can be used from all ages, subject areas and grade level, not only does it help improve academic performances but also promotes a healthy social development for the children, it can also drastically increase one’s self confidence.[ CITATION VGS06 \l 13321 ] Stated by Kunsch, Jitendra, and Sood describes peer tutoring as a wide array of different style or types of tutoring arrangements, the most common one where in which most success occurs is when students help each other by working by pairs to help one another learn or practice a certain task handed to them. This technique helps students to focus on what they need or what is important. They’re the ones that review and reformulate their knowledge about the topic to satisfy their curiosity and questions. Also, they gain a better understanding of the material by learning from each other. (Rahmasari, 2017) Pursuant to Estela C. Itaas, peer tutoring is a system of instruction in which learners help each other to learn. The result of the study shows that having peer tutoring and without peer tutoring affects and shows difference in other factor. The anxiety and the attitude of students is different among those group who undergoes peer tutoring and others who don’t. (Itaas, 2009)
