To do ANY percentage problem, I think that it is easier to set up proportions of the following form:
is percent of
Is = the number immediately attached to the verb “ is ” Of = the number immediately attached to the preposition “ of ”
You will never have to move a decimal point in this setup. The setup does it for you.
