WHAT ARE PERIPHERAL

DEVICES?

  • (^) A peripheral device is generally defined as any auxiliary device such as a computer mouse or keyboard, that connects to and works with the computer in some way.
  • (^) These devices are used to enter information and instructions into a computer for storage or processing and to deliver the processed data to a human operator or, in some cases, a machine controlled by the computer.
  • (^) Peripheral devices are part of the computers hardware.
