The cardiac conduction system sends the signal to start a heartbeat. It
also sends signals that tell different parts of your heart to relax and
contract. This process of contracting and relaxing controls blood flow
through your heart and to the rest of your body. The role of the SA
node acts as the heart's normal pacemaker. It initiates an action
potential that results in an electrical impulse traveling through the
heart's electrical conduction system.

What is the role of red blood cells in the body? Where within the body
do red blood cells become reoxygenated? What method of transport
moves oxygen between the blood and the body tissues?
The role of the red blood cell is to carry oxygen from the lungs and
deliver it throughout our body. Red blood cells become reoxygenated
in the lungs. The method of transport moves the oxygen between the
blood and the body tissues is called Haemoglobin. These molecules are
inside the red blood cells where they pick up and carry the oxygen.

Please note when blood is oxygenated and when blood is deoxygenated during this cycle. deoxygenated blood from the body enters the right atrium of the heart and the right ventricle pumps it to the lungs. The oxygenated blood returns to the heart, entering the left atrium, while the left ventricle pumps it to the body. Deoxygenated blood from the body enters the right atrium of the heart and the right ventricle pumps it to the lungs. After it goes through the lungs it becomes oxygenated. The oxygenated blood returns to the heart, entering the left atrium, while the left ventricle pumps it to the body.
