1. Cyclosporine - immunosuppressants // used to prevent organ rejection in
people who have received a liver, kidney, or heart transplant. It is usually
taken along with other medications to allow your new organ to function
normally // works by weakening the immune system to help your body
accept the new organ as if it were your own.
2. Methimazole - antithyroid agent // used to treat HYPERthyroidism // works by
making it harder for the body to make thyroid hormone.
3. Valsartan - ARB // relaxes blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily
// used to treat high BP and HF
4. Atenolol - Beta blocker // used to treat high BP // function: slows HR and BP
// helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This
medication is also used to treat chest pain (angina) and to improve
survival after a heart attack.A
5. Levothyroxine - hormone // treats hypothyroidism ; regulates the body's
energy and metabolism
6. Amoxicillin - penicillin antibiotic // stops the growth of bacteria
7. Prazosin - antihypertensive // treats hypertension ; relaxes blood vessels
allowing blood flow // Lowers high blood pressure helps prevent strokes,
heart attacks, and kidney problems.
8. Rituximab - used to treat certain types of cancer ( lymphoma, chronic
lymphocytic leukemia). It works by slowing or stopping the growth of
cancer cells.
→ Some brands of rituximab are also used to treat rheumatoid
arthritis and can decrease joint pain and swelling
9. Hydroxyurea - Chemo drug that treats Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and
sickle cell anemia crisis. // it interferes with the growth of cancer cells , which
are then destroyed by the body. // used to prevent painful episodes and
reduce the need for blood transfusions in patients with sickle cell anemia. It
works by making the red blood cells more flexible.
10.Methylphenidate - CNS stimulant // used to treat ADD/ ADHD and
narcolepsy. // increases attention and decreases restlessness in children
and adults who are overactive, cannot concentrate for very long, or are
easily distracted and impulsive.
