Morning Prayer Alternative morning prayer: Dear Jesus, O my God, you love me. I give you today, You’re with me night and day. All my best work, I want to love you always, And all my good play. In all I do and say. Show them to God, I’ll try to please you, Father. Our Father in heaven Bless me through the day. And ask Him to bless us Amen. and take care of us, through this day. Amen. Morning Prayer – sung Good morning, Lord, we praise your holy name, And thank you for giving us this lovely new day. Prayer before lunch Dear Jesus, Bless the food we are about to eat, And bless all those people who help to make it. Amen. Prayer after lunch Thank you God for the food we have eaten. Thank you God for everything. Amen. Hometime prayers Dear Jesus, Thank you for a lovely day, Thank you for our work and thank you for our play. God bless our mummies, our daddies, our brothers and sisters, And all the people in this world. Amen.
Hometime prayer – sung Now the day is over we lift our hands and say, Thank you, Heavenly Father for today. We’re sorry for the wrong things, but glad about the right. Keep us, Heavenly Father, in your love tonight. Alternative hometime prayer God, our Father, I come to say, Thank you for your love today. Thank you for my family and all the friends you give to me. Guard me in the dark of night and in the morning, send your light. Amen. The children are shown how to make the Sign of the Cross and to make up their own prayers. They also learn the Lord’s Prayer, The Hail Mary, the Glory Be prayer to St Benedict and the School Prayer. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners now And at the hour of our death. Amen.
