UFC REPORT assessment. ABSTRACT

This reflection report critically examines the planning, development, and delivery of a recent

presentation, focusing on both strengths and areas for improvement. It explores the effectiveness

of the content, visual aids, time management, and communication strategies employed during the

presentation. The report highlights the importance of audience

2 - INTRODUCTION Throughout the module, I developed my public speaking and presentation skills through practice, feedback, and reflection. I became proficient in breaking down complicated ideas, structuring presentations, and employing narratives to engage the audience. Even though I gained confidence, I still need to work on managing nerves, especially in live or recorded presentations. Some of the most important skills learned include audience engagement strategies and basic crisis management strategies. This experience also taught me about my own speaking style and set goals for future growth as a speaker. 3 - Application of Feedback My comment was a motivating force in my growth. In my first practice presentation, my friends told me that I was reading too much from slides and not interacting with the content as much as I could. Hence, I practiced to speak in a more spontaneous fashion and using key points as cues instead of reading word for word. My tutor also taught me to slow down and emphasize important concepts. In return, I worked with a timer and practiced pausing for emphasis. These accommodations improved my final presentation, and I was complimented on my improved delivery and clarity. Another piece of constructive feedback was on my body language. Initially, I had no idea how much my gestures and stance could influence audience perception. I consciously made an effort to use open gestures and ensure that my facial expressions matched my message. This helped me feel more connected to the audience, even when recorded.

4. Future Goals In the future, I will be working on polishing my delivery by enhancing my vocal range and reducing filler words. I will also be joining a public speaking club or workshop to continue practicing in front of different audiences. Another goal is to become more comfortable with spontaneous speaking, which I believe is essential to academic and professional success In future academic presentations
