21138719 Populist in a Democratic Society: Populism in Politics We recently read two really fascinating articles. The first is titled "Women's Naked Body Protest and the Performance of Resistance: Femen and Meira Paibi Protest against Rape" and the second is titled "Politics of Anxiety, Politics of Hope: Penal Populism and Dutertes Rise to Power." One piece, "Women's Naked Body" focuses on the social movement through body interpretation, and the other, is all about populism. The first article challenges the representations by investigating the rationales that support Duterte's widespread popular support. We contend that a portion of Duterte's appeal rests on "penal populism," which is based on two interlocking political logics: the politics of fear and the politics of hope. Based on ethnographic fieldwork in regions that had recently experienced disasters and where Duterte had resounding victories, the article investigates how these logics were articulated by Duterte's followers. A worldwide movement known as populism has a colloquial connotation of precariousness. Because its language and content are saturated with the political culture of the society in which it originates, it resists generalizations and compels political researchers to study politics comparativistically (Urbinati 2009). Furthermore, Modern Neopopulism or Contemporary Neopopulism frequently exhibits regressive, defensive, and racial animosity tendencies. The founding myths of the country are seen as a magnificent past that has been tainted by ruling elites and should be restored at all costs, even if that necessitates great disruption. (Finchelstein 2017). According to Mudde (2017) populist movements pose a growing threat to democratic politics and populism is ultimately a part of democracy. This compelling book analyzes political trends in various nations and debates the potential long-term effects of this challenge while shining a light on the perplexing impact of populism on contemporary political and social life. Joe Biden, the current president, is a prime example of a neopopulist. The paradox is that while the current president previously served in Barack Obama's administration, the "Biden doctrine" really has more in common with Trump's ideas than with those of Obama's. Biden is now fully embracing the neo-populist ideology that first surfaced under Trump, indicating a stark departure from the neoliberal ideology upheld by every president from Bill Clinton to Obama. He is currently serving as the 46th president of the United States is American politician Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. He was a Democrat and the 47th vice president under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017. He also served as the senator from Delaware in the US Senate from 1973 to 2009 and is a former Vice President. According to Hay, epistemology is defined as "what can we hope to know about [what is known]," and ontology is defined as "what there is to know." Methodology is defined as "How can we go about getting that knowledge? The idea is that methodology is a question of (social) scientific philosophy.' (Hay, 2002: 63). The three main techniques are used in this article: the first is an ideational (Mudde 2017), the second is a political-strategic approach (Weyland 2017) , and the third is a socio-cultural approach (Ostiguy 2017). We felt relieved when we read the Politics of Anxiety, Politics of Hope: Penal and Duterte's Rise to Power by Nicole Curato, we was able to ascertain the author's ontological viewpoint.
The “Women’s Naked Body Protest and the Performance of Resistance: Femen and Meira Paibi Protest against Rape” this article focuses on how women engage in politics through naked protests and explores the role that performativity plays in Femen and Meira Paibi's anti-rape body protests. In a discursive way, it uses analytical insights from Goffman (performativity as social interaction) and Butler (gender performativity) to show how women's naked protests are novel manifestations of their political participation and need to be understood more deeply, especially within the analytical dynamic of feminist theorization. The purpose of this article is to educate readers about the issues that women are fighting for and the reasons why they used to demonstrate in public while completely exposed. Before we discuss the two ontological approches that had been discuss in this paper, I am going to identify the definition of ontological in a politics. Political ontology is not interested in arguing that the reality is the better explanation of "what is there" from a meta-ontological perspective. It is interested in the chances of claiming what is present and demonstrates how reality is constantly in a state of dispute. The mainstream perspective and the postmodern view are the two ontological issues that are examined in this study. The participation of women in informal politics is the primary viewpoint of this study. Additionally, there are unofficial politics that are founded on identity and on structural factors. According to the article's postmodern perspective, political engagement was redefined at that time. Therefore, these two paragraphs educate us to respect women's rights as well as everyone else's rights so that we do not have to fight over one another's viewpoints but rather appreciate those of others in the sense of what they can see. Additionally, the nation should be just and decent so that everyone can live in peace and be free to express themselves without being judged. And we believed in the word “ Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole seems upset” – Saint Francis De Sales.
